Microsoft Azure
Cloud platform for teams already on Microsoft infrastructure — compute, managed databases, and AKS.
How we use it
Azure is our default when a client already runs on Microsoft infrastructure — Active Directory, .NET estates, or existing enterprise agreements. Same migration discipline as AWS: managed services first, everything defined as code.
Services we usually land
- AKS — managed Kubernetes for containerised workloads
- Azure SQL / Cosmos DB — managed data services
- Blob Storage — objects, backups, static assets
- Azure Functions — event-driven glue
- Virtual Network — isolation and network boundaries
Typical patterns
- AD integration — single sign-on carried over from the existing estate
- Managed databases — Azure SQL or Cosmos DB with automated backups
- Auto-scaling — scale sets and AKS node pools on real metrics
- Disaster recovery — paired regions, tested restore path
Our standards on Azure
Infrastructure in Terraform. Workloads containerised on AKS. Managed databases with automated backups. Cost visibility from day one.
