About
Engineering, not improvisation
stackgb is a UK engineering consultancy for cloud migration and full-stack development. We move production systems onto AWS, GCP, and Azure without downtime, then build and operate what runs on top of them.
Why it exists
Most infrastructure work fails for the same reason: it's improvised under pressure, at 2am, by whoever's on call. We built stackgb around the opposite idea — that a migration is a designed, rehearsed event, not a gamble.
The same discipline carries into product work. Full-stack builds go through the same review, testing, and delivery pipelines we use to run infrastructure — because software that ships without process is the next migration's problem.
How we work
Four things we don't compromise on
Assessment before architecture
We audit and write a risk register before we design anything. Decisions are made on what your systems actually do, not on a template.
Every cutover is rehearsed
Nothing goes live for the first time in production. We dual-run, load-test, and rehearse rollback before a single migration is called done.
Infrastructure is code
Every resource we provision is defined in version control and reviewed like application code — no console-built infrastructure, ever.
We stay accountable
Ninety days of post-migration optimisation are included in every engagement, not sold as an add-on afterwards.
Based in Dartford, working across the UK and EU
We work remotely with engineering teams across the UK and EU, and travel for on-site cutover work when it matters. Response within one business day, in any timezone we're engaged in.
